The BLEU DE NIMES yacht is a former French naval vessel turned into a luxury yacht with a world-reaching range.
She was built by CLELANDS SHIPBUILDING CO in 1980 and has served in the British Navy until 1997. She was reintroduced to the public in 2005 under the name BLUE DE NIMES. The majestic has all the bells and whistles necessary for off-the-beaten-path travel. She has been built to provide an exquisite blend of luxury and sociable areas that are intended to make you feel at home from the minute you step aboard.
With all the major rebuilds she went through, it’s never been a momentary passion project, but you can say that it is a 20-year love affair with her owner.

BLEU DE NIMES Yacht interior
Her interior design was penned by Pier Vittorio Cerruti Yachts, who maintained the yacht’s wonderful aesthetic and colonial appeal.
She features plentiful American cherry joinery and iroko wood floors complemented by black-veined marble. Additionally, the new interiors still adhered to the traditional style and the result is an interior clad in wooden panels and floors, complemented by cream furnishings for a “calming, colonial-style feel”.
Her interior was also expanded during the rebuild and now measures 1,637GT.
BLEU DE NIMES Yacht exterior
The exterior of the megayacht is the work of PENTANED LTD, STUDIO NATTERO. During the renovation, the classic lines and ocean-liner external design of BLEU DE NIMES were maintained.
Despite the challenging additional extension, Studio Nattero was able to keep the explorer yacht’s traditional lines and its signature ocean liner aesthetic. While the two distinguishable stacks have been preserved in their entirety, the communication systems have been relocated to a central mast structure.
Indeed, BLEU DE NÎMES is a stunning representation of a traditional naval vessel that has been exquisitely transformed into a state-of-the-art ocean cruiser via extensive renovations.
