When Bud died in 1995, Nancy and her sister Ann Walton Kroenke each inherited a stake in the company among six other heirs. The entire Walton family has an estimated net worth of $238 billion with their ownership of Walmart.

She is the owner of a second superyacht, a $110 million 82m vessel named SECRET. The Laurie’s reportedly own a private jet, a Gulfstream G650ER (N515PL).

The family owns numerous properties. The Laurie’s Bel Air property is an expanding 9-10 acre property.

Nancy has spent over $60 million assembling her compound over 20 years. In January 2015, the Laurie’s filed a lawsuit against mega-mansion developer Mohamed Hadid (supermodels Bella and Gigi Hadid’s father).

The lawsuit alleged that Hadid had installed a retaining wall that damaged roots on a Eucalyptus tree on their property, which they demanded $90 000 for in damages. Their Bel Air property is possibly the largest individual property in Bel Air.


Nancy Walton was born in May 1951 and grew up in Versailles, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She met her husband, Bill Laurie, while attending the university, marrying him shortly after.

They have a daughter named Paige Laurie. Bill Laurie is a former basketball player and coach, and businessman.

The couple owns a mansion that they call home in the Las Vegas Valley. They bought the residential property in Nevada, for $17.5 million in 2007.

The family owns multiple properties, including an equine farm in Missouri, Columbia, where they breed appaloosa horses. They also own property in Bel Air, California.

The family also runs subsidiaries of Lincoshare, such as Providence Bank. In 2007, they acquired the bank for $35.7 million. In 2010, the family acquired Premier Bank in Jefferson City for $1.2 billion.

Bill Laurie is a billionaire and owned the St Louis Blues, a National Hockey League Team, in 1999- 2006. The couple also owns Paige Sports Entertainment.


In 2013, the Laurie couple donated $25 million to the University of Missouri. The donation funded a new sports arena that was named after Laurie’s daughter, Paige Laurie, who did not attend the university.

It was later revealed that Paige had paid her USC roommate to do most of her homework throughout her time in college. Her degree from USC in communications was withdrawn. The sports arena in Missouri was renamed after these revelations.

The Laurie’s make considerable charitable contributions. Nancy became interested in dance when her daughter was a teenager. She sat on the board of trustees at Juilliard.

She is President and founder of Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet based in New York and the Columbia Performing Arts Centre owner in Columbia, Missouri.
