Description

The GENE MACHINE yacht is an award-winning 55-meter long motor yacht that was built by Amels, a master in modern and high-value luxury yacht building. The shipyard is located in Vlissingen – the largest and most modern superyacht facility in Holland with a highly skilled workforce of 900 men and women.

She is previously known as Engelberg and is the 52nd biggest yacht Amels have ever produced. With her luxurious design, she is a frequent guest of yachting events like the Miami International Boat Show and Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

She is often seen with its support yacht, GENE CHASER which features stunning custom fleet colors and a research laboratory.

GENE MACHINE yacht Interior

She was the first-ever yacht designed by the Swiss landscape architect, Enzo Enea

His involvement in the yacht started when he worked with its owners on their home in Switzerland and was invited to pitch for the yacht’s interior design.

Enea’s idea of integrating the sea and the coast in the interior made the owners take the risk of awarding the project to a first-time yacht designer and the result was stunning.

The lower deck features a wall painted with life-sized artist portraits of a sparkling starfish, luminescent jellyfish captured in glass, turtles, stingrays, sharks, dolphins, and a glass mosaic of a coral reef.

On the other hand, the main deck showcases wide-open rooms with fresh airy colors in a blue and green tone.

Specifications

The GENE MACHINE yacht is built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, with teak decks and a deckhouse.

She is propelled by twin 16-cylinder 1,410hp MTU (16V 2000 M70) diesel engines operating at 2100rpm which give her a cruising speed of 13.0 knots and a top speed of 15 knots. She has a range of up to 4,500 nautical miles from her 115,000-liter fuel tanks at 13 knots.

GENE MACHINE yacht is equipped with at-anchor stabilizers, which provide outstanding comfort and support. Her water tanks have a capacity of around 17,000 liters of fresh water.
